'Cos, like, November is super busy with lots of opportunities for you lucky, lucky people to come and see me giving it with the chat.
Nov 6th, Tuesday - Strathkelvin Writers' Club in Bishopbriggs.
Nov 7th, Wednesday - Waterstones, Braehead. From 6pm. And its all about Blood Tears tonight.
Nov 9th, Friday - Song for Heroes at the Park Hotel in Kilmarnock. This is the final of the charity event for Help for Heroes where "7 FINALISTS TAKE TO THE STAGE IN FRONT OF OUR GUEST PANEL AND AUDIENCE TO WIN THE CHANCE OF RECORDING THEIR SINGLE AND HAVING IT SOLD IN THE 4 LOCAL AYRSHIRE SAINSBURY'S TO RAISE FUNDS IN SUPPORT OF HELP FOR HEROES."
Go HERE for more details.
As part of the overall funding effort, I'll be auctioning a signed copy of Carnegie's Call and selling copies of the book, with all proceeds (after costs) going to the charity.
Nov 15th, Thursday. 6pm onwards - Its the Glasgow launch of the Killer Cookbook in Waterstones, Argyle Street. This book has been cooked up (see what I did there) by a number of crime writers to help raise money for a morgue in the city of Dundee. Contributors include Val McDermid, Stuart MacBride, Jeffrey Deaver and Ian Rankin. And little old me. At the launch Caro Ramsay will be talking about the reason for the book and will be ably supported by Professer Sue Black, Tony Black (no relation), TF Muir, Pat McIntosh, Craig Robertson, Russel D. Mclean. And little old me.
Nov 21st, Wednesday. 7pm - Waterstones, Newton Mearns and I'll be swapping crime blethers with Caro Ramsay and TF Muir.
Nov 27th, Tuesday. 7:30pm. I'll be loitering in Troon Library as part of National Book Week. And again with the blethers.
So if you can pop along to any of the above events it will be wonderful to see you.
laters,
Michael
